Former NBA Player and Reality Star Lamar Odom is Fighting for His Life

Sad day in America folks. If you haven't heard by now, Lamar Odom is in a coma after allegedly using some form of herbal Viagra. There is also speculation that he may have also used cocaine at some point during his stay at a brothel where he was found unresponsive. Currently fighting for his life, surrounded by close family from the Kardashian camp and friend, Kobe Bryant.

TMZ Reports:
Lamar Odom took 10 Reload pills over the course of 3 days before he fell into unconsciousness -- according to people at the brothel -- and the FDA says the pills are so dangerous they've advised consumers to throw them away IMMEDIATELY.
The FDA determined Reload contained sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. The label does not reveal the presence of that ingredient, which is normally restricted to prescriptions monitored by a doctor.
The FDA says sildenafil can "lower blood pressure to dangerous levels."

It's been a tumultuous few years for the Lamar. He's been battling addiction, lost his best friend, Jamie Sangouthai, to an overdose, his separation from Khloe Kardashian and now this. At this point he's been given a 50/50 chance at surviving. Very sad situation indeed and I sincerely hope he pulls through. I will keep you posted as more details become available. Please keep him in your prayers.

Floyd Mayweather remains undefeated at 48-0! Beats Manny Pacquiao

Over the weekend in a star-studded, MGM Grand Garden Arena, Floyd Mayweather beat Manny Pacquiao by unanimous vote. Omg one of Mayweather's most boring fights to date and I'm team Mayweather. Can you say HIGHLY OVERRATED????? I promised myself that I just can't watch anymore after this one. I mean I don't know about y'all but I need blood, I need knockouts and all I get is RUN FOREST RUN when I watch this man fight.

Granted I know that this is his style of fighting and I understand that his main objective is to WIN and not entertain but still! I will give the man his credit and respect though for holding his title down!!! Congrats to him!

ESPN on the fight:

Judge Dave Moretti scored the fight 118-110, and judges Glenn Feldman and Burt Clements both had it 116-112. ESPN.com also had it 116-112 for Mayweather, who remains undefeated at 48-0.

The massively hyped fight, more than five years in the making, became a global event. While it was not the drama-filled battle many had hoped for, it was an impressive performance from Mayweather, the master boxer, who never allowed the more powerful Pacquiao to deliver any truly big punches as he pulled away in the second half of the fight.

Mayweather, who had many harsh words for Pacquiao over the years before the fight was finally signed in February, was gracious in victory.

"He's a hell of a fighter. I take my hat off to Manny Pacquiao," Mayweather said. "Now I see why he's one of the guys at the pinnacle."

There was so much on the line for the fighters, as Mayweather, already a five-division champion, laid claim to Pacquiao's 147-pound world title (in addition to the two he already owned at welterweight) and left no doubt as to the identity of the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Mayweather, already the highest-paid athlete in the world in recent years, is expected to earn an estimated $180 million from the fight and Pacquiao around $120 million.

Money aside, the competitive juices still flowed through both. Mayweather had said before the fight, "I never wanted to win a fight so bad in my life."

Serena Williams is Working It for Vogue!

Tennis great, Serena Williams covers Vogue's Shape issue for April! Working that body hunty!!!

Here's a snippet from the interview:
Fresh off her nineteenth Grand Slam, Serena Williams talks to Rebecca Johnson about fitness, forgiveness, and her friendship with tennis rival Caroline Wozniacki.
When the news broke last May that Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy had broken off his engagement to tennis champion Caroline Wozniacki—over a telephone call, no less—Serena Williams immediately began phoning and texting her best friend on the professional women’s tour. “I was devastated,” she says. “I had planned the bachelorette party!”
Six months later, Wozniacki and Williams are sitting, thigh to thigh, on a love seat in Williams’s Palm Beach Gardens house in Florida discussing the debacle. “My phone was going crazy,” Wozniacki remembers. “But I didn’t want to talk to anyone.” Most people got the message and stopped trying. But Serena Williams isn’t most people.
“I kept calling,” Williams says unapologetically.
Wozniacki smiles at the memory. “First she texted, ‘If you don’t pick up, I am going to fly to Monaco.’ And then, ‘If you don’t answer the door, I am going to knock it down.’ So I thought, OK, I better answer the phone. And I am so glad I did. She wasn’t pitying me, like a lot of people were. I mean, it’s not like anyone died. I was in shock, but she was really helpful because she had been through it.

RIP: Stuart Scott loses his battle with cancer; Dead at the age of 49

Very sad news coming from the sports world today that Stuart Scott has passed away.

ESPN reports:

Stuart Scott, a longtime anchor at ESPN, died Sunday morning at the age of 49.
Among the features of the new ESPN studio in Bristol is a wall of catchphrases made famous by on-air talent over the years. An amazing nine of them belong to one man -- from his signature "Boo-Yah!" to "As cool as the other side of the pillow" to "He must be the bus driver cuz he was takin' him to school."
That man is Stuart Scott, and his contributions to the sports lexicon are writ large. But they are only one aspect of his legacy. When he passed away, he left behind so much more. He inspired his colleagues with his sheer talent, his work ethic and his devotion to his daughters, Taelor, 19, and Sydni, 15. He defied convention and criticism to help bring this network into a new century. He spoke to the very athletes he was talking about with a flair and a style that ESPN president John Skipper says, "changed everything."
"He didn't just push the envelope," says sports radio host and former ESPN anchor Dan Patrick. "He bulldozed the envelope."
Scott was remembered through an outpouring of tributes by athletes, colleagues and fans on Twitter and statements from his alma mater, the University of North Carolina, which said that "his legacy will live on in many ways -- as a friend, a son, a father, a professional and forever, a Tar Heel," and President Barack Obama.
"I will miss Stuart Scott. Twenty years ago, Stu helped usher in a new way to talk about our favorite teams and the day's best plays. For much of those twenty years, public service and campaigns have kept me from my family -- but wherever I went, I could flip on the TV and Stu and his colleagues on SportsCenter were there. Over the years, he entertained us, and in the end, he inspired us -- with courage and love. Michelle and I offer our thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and colleagues," the President said.
